In November 2022, Project Art Works held the Explorers 2022 Event at Tate Liverpool supported by the Plus Tate Network and the Explorers Project partners.
The Explorers Event brought together national conversations about how cultural institutions can evolve into more caring and inclusive spaces. The event embraced agency in art, systems of care and different artist development practices. The event set out to be non-didactic and accessible and to include a majority of contributors with lived experience of disability, neurodivergence or as caregivers.

Explorers is a two year project running from 2021-2023 and aims to create equity for neurominorities and carers in civic and cultural life.
