As part of a highly successful and radical new pilot, Project Art Works engaged three individuals with complex needs in studio maintenance and administration. Examples of facilitating people who may not have a concept of work are very rare. Doing so required us to understand how to break down tasks to support ‘meaningful employment’. We were been guided in this by bespoke training from the Challenging Needs Service.
An evaluative strategy that scopes future internship opportunities for individuals with profound intellectual disabilities and multiple impairments was was undertaken. .
