Archive and Research Associate
Lorenzo is a Birmingham-based artist, musician, and researcher with experience of working in archives across a range of fields. He studied at Dartington College of Arts and has a Master’s in Sonic Art and a PhD in Music from The University of Sheffield. In 2022, he catalogued the Longplayer Archive, related to Jem Finer’s 1000-year-long musical composition. He has worked at Dudley Archives and Local History Centre and the Modern Records Centre (University of Warwick), and he is currently Project Coordinator at the Birmingham Media Archive Project (Vivid Projects). Since 2021, he is part of artist-led co-operative Artefact Stirchley where he co-hosts Artefact’s Improv Society, Issimo!
