Project Art Works is delighted to announce that ‘The Mask’, an Ignition Random Acts Network Centre Commissioned film written and directed by Sharif Persaud, will be included in the Oska Bright Film Festival in November 2017.
The Oska Bright Film Festival is the leading international festival of films made by, or featuring, people with learning disabilities. It is produced, managed and presented by a learning disabled team.
Sharif Persaud has a long association with Project Art Works and has been a key contributor to much of PAW’s recent output, including several film projects. He is also a keen painter and his work has featured in several exhibitions.
The film follows Sharif on his journey along a coastal footpath to the theatre of a neighbouring town. Along the way he talks about himself and what it means to have autism, while all the time wearing his favourite celebrity mask.
