Connecting Families drop-in

For our next Connecting Families drop-in we’ll be opening the doors to our garden now spring has sprung. Join other families, parents and carers and catch-up over a cup of tea. There’ll be an art action workshop in our studio space for all to take part in. If you’re bringing along a child or young person and they’d like to take part in the workshop, please email [email protected] to book a place.
Connecting Families drop-ins are informal, free sessions open to all families and support workers who support young people or children with complex support needs. The sessions provide an opportunity to share experiences and useful information. We cover topics such as what to expect when young people transition from Childrens’ Services to Adult services. We also host workshops as part of Connecting Families sessions.
Amaze recently visited Project Art Works and ran a workshop for parents about how to obtain Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for their child. Many families are working on these plans and we encourage parents and carers to share their own experience and advice at the next drop-in session.
