Project Art Works’ international Explorers project is close to confirming it’s programme of activities for the next two years. The programme including a year of focused activity, Explorers 2019: Art | People | Social Care, will include 6 cocomissions, production of a Wilderness film based in the Highlands of Scotland and a series of events raising awareness around people who have complex support needs and collaboration in the arts.
The next major event will take place at Tate Exchange in Liverpool in September 2018. From the 8th– 13thSeptember we will publicly explore and challenge awareness, accessibility, conversation and putting people at the heart of gallery programmes in Liverpool.
The Project Art Works Wilderness commission film is in the planning stages, and shooting will take place in October 2018 in the Highlands of Scotland, when 6 people with complex needs, their support teams and artists will travel to Glen Affric and explore the sublime nature of the remote…
December 2018 will see the third Explorers seminar (location TBC) which will examine the nature of collaboration, and the subjectivity of communication.
