2021 has been quite a year! The Project Art Works community has grown in number as well as solidarity and in strength gained for our many and joyous activities.
As we have been talking a lot of late and made so many statements we want now to speak some simple words of gratitude to the many artists and makers within our studios who have thrived in the limelight of the Turner Prize nomination and exhibitions in Coventry, Hastings Contemporary and De La Warr Pavilion. They have inspired and connected with public audiences within the exhibitions, through radio, TV and our social platforms. They have led the way this year.
So thank you to them and to their amazing families and support teams who really do so much to collaborate, support, enable and to share their stories.
Thank you to everyone who has embraced and shared the work with us – the amazing people who make up the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum in Coventry, Coventry City of Culture, the Documenta Artist teams and other artists collectives from all over the world as part of DOCUMENTA 15 lumbung as we prepare for the gatherings next year in Kassel and beyond.
Finally, thank you to the incredible Project Art Works team – the ones up front and those behind the scenes who hold things steady and are the touchstone of the work. Everyone has worked so incredibly hard this year to realise amazing things.
Have a wonderful mid-winter breather one and all and see you for the next instalment that is 2022 x
