As the year comes to a close, we want to express our gratitude to everyone who has contributed to the Art, Freedom, Care studios and workshops. The artist makers who join us each week, bringing creativity and passion, an amazing group of artist facilitators who do so much to support everyone, and the parents and carers who have become a big part of our community and shared their lives with us.

This year, we moved into new studio spaces in Trinity Hall because our old studios in the arches are being demolished and rebuilt. These new spaces helped us re-establish our community and explore fresh ways of working collaboratively. We’ve found ways to stay connected and welcome new people into our community.

  • Exhibitions including works by Project Art Works artists have attracted 430,580 visitors locally, nationally and internationally at Hastings Museum, Singapore Art Museum, Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art in Gateshead, Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid, Copperfield Gallery in London, Nottingham Castle, Tate Modern and Copenhagen Contemporary.
  • In our workshop space within the Residential exhibitions we ran workshops with 72 people at Baltic Centre of Contemporary Art and then 60 people at Copenhagen Contemporary.
  • Our regular studios in Hastings have supported 43 adult artists to participate in 2912 sessions between them.
  • Project Art Works have worked with 165 children and young people through our Art Breaks sessions.
  • The Support Collective has facilitated 10 workshops training 139 carers and support workers. 20 people and their families are currently undertaking a  PATH (Planning Alternative Tomorrows with Hope) programme
  • The new Club Build programme has supported 5 people in 52 sessions.

See you all in 2025!
