Art Breaks sessions, an innovative project that focuses on children and young people with complex needs, alongside their parents, carers and non-learning disabled peers, reached over 70 families throughout this year.
It was wonderful to work with St Mary’s Special School in Bexhill again this Summer.
We set up a number of immersive environments in the indoor space and on the playing field we set up our 9m in diameter geodesic dome, which created a large alternative space for exploration and play.
‘All three of my girls adore coming the Art Breaks. It was evident how calm and relaxed the environment was. ‘P ‘skipped to and from each activity, which was a joy to see. She managed each activity with little anxiety.
