Project Art Works Artists to Feature in One-Night-Only Contemporary Showcase at Different Kind, Cirencester

For one night only, Different Kind—a concept interior store in the heart of Cirencester—will transform into a contemporary gallery space, presenting original works by neurodivergent artists and makers. Among the featured creatives are artists from Project Art Works, whose work reflects deeply individual practices shaped by unique experiences of the world.

We’re proud to be taking part in this event, which brings together artists from across the UK, including Garvald Makers Edinburgh, Arthouse Unlimited, Ruskin Mill, and Camphill Village Trust Newnham-on-Severn. The evening offers a rare opportunity to experience and collect artwork created by people with complex support needs—artists who work outside the mainstream but whose practices have been recognised by institutions such as the Royal Academy, Turner Prize and Scottish Craft 25.

“DETERMINED places fine art in an accessible, community-rooted setting,” says Alex Young, store manager at Different Kind. “It’s about showing that Different Kind is a place where stories are told and everyone is welcome.”

At Project Art Works, we believe in the agency of neurodivergent people in art, culture and society. This event is one more step in making that belief visible on the high street, in everyday spaces, and in the wider public consciousness.

Artists include in the show are George Smith, Gemma, Marion Willis, Johnny Carroll-Pell, Claire Matthews, Darryl Spencer, Siddharth Gadiyar, Aida Ashall, Carl Sexton, Amy. Fenton and El Bass.
