One Year Later

Film installation by Project Art Works at Jerwood Gallery in Hastings.

In early 2012, the Project Art Works artists and collaborators visited the Jerwood Gallery in the final week of its construction. Over the course of a bright winter’s day, six Tuesday Studios consultants, all of whom are highly sensitive to the sounds, surfaces, light and qualities of built space, made a raw experiential investigation and documentation of the building. The investigation was recorded through sound and video. To mark the first anniversary of the gallery another survey visit was planned by the group and the resulting film-sound work was be shown as part of Knock Knock, an exhibition of work by contemporary and internationally recognised artists with a close association to Hastings.
