Project Art Works join local art students, EKATA, in Germany from 4th – 14th August to celebrate local neurodiversity and inclusion.
Open at the Kunsthochschule, Kassel, from the 4th – 14th August.
This short intervention at Kunsthochschule is additional to the Project Art Works current installations at Stadtmuseum, Fridericianum and Hübner Areal, for documenta fifteen. Here we merge a visible trace in film of their local ecosystem and practice with collaborative creative workshops involving Kassel based communities that will take place in the space on 9th, 10th and 11th of August.
The banners read “the real and irregular news of how others around us think and feel.” These words are by American poet Eileen Myles about what art is and can be. Kate Adams came across it in On Freedom: Four songs of Care and Constraint by Maggie Nelson.

Project Art Works is a collective of neurodiverse artists and activists based in Hastings, UK. Intersecting art and care, they promote the rights and representation of neurominorities through an expansive art practice, embracing holistic and practical support for individuals and caregivers alongside established artistic outputs.
Working in partnerships nationally and internationally, they seek to reverse the entrenched power dynamics of inclusion, and to provide genuine opportunities for people to represent themselves within culture and society.
