Lucy is a prolific artist and musician using wide-ranging disciplines – storytelling, script writing, making, illustration, puppetry, costume-making, performance – to create immersive worlds. Built in spaces from studio to gallery, Lucy’s worlds allow people to share her unique experience, drop their inhibitions and understand more about themselves and how we connect with each other. Lucy’s work is grounded in her love of animals and the natural world, and tensions created by technological progress.
In 2021, Lucy represented PAW in their Turner Prize nomination: new characters led public tours at the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum. Lucy’s post-punk rock band, Delta 7, released their third album, The Lockdown Sessions, in 2021, when Lucy also joined the Autism Through Cinema practice-informed research project at Queen Mary University, working with experimental film. In 2020, Lucy’s intricately realised plasticine figures of The Beatles were selected for exhibition at Hastings Museum and Art Gallery.
