Connecting Families workshop
Date: Wednesday 14th March, 10:30 – 12:30pm
Location: Project Art Works, Arch 1, Braybrooke Terrace, Hastings, TN34 1TD

Getting the best from an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCPs) with Amaze Independent Support.

Do you want to know more about Education, Health and Care Plans and get some tips on how to get the best from your EHCP? This workshop is an opportunity to find out more about the needs assessment that can lead to an EHCP and to understand what you need to do to.

This workshop is suitable for parent carers who would like to find out more about EHCPs, families going through the needs assessment or those with an Annual Review of their EHCP. Amaze Independent Supporters will answer your questions and explain what a good EHCP can offer your child/young person.

An ‘EHC plan’ or ‘EHCP’ is a document that sets out a child or young person’s special educational, health and social care needs and replaces ‘Statements of SEN’.

Amaze SENDIASS (http://amazebrighton.org.uk/services-and-support/advice-sussex/sendiass-east-sussex/) is the SEND Information, Advice and Support Service for East Sussex for children and young people with complex support needs up to 25 and their parents and carers.

We will be running an artist-led activity in our Arch 1 studio space whilst the Connecting Families workshop takes place. If you are coming along with a child or young person, they are welcome to take part in this.

To book your place and discuss further, please contact Esther – [email protected].
