Press Release | 14.10.2020

We are grateful to Arts Council England, Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and HM Treasury for awarding us funding of £137,420 as part of the Cultural Recovery Fund to enable us to maintain our national leadership role within art and disability and deliver programming with neurodivergent communities.

“Studio practice is the life blood of our organisation. This funding alongside support from Paul Hamlyn, Rayne and Esmee Fairbairn Foundations and Arts Council England will enable us to continue creative collaborations that benefit everyone; neurodivergent communities, families and carers, creative freelancers and audiences.”

Kate Adams, Artist Director & CEO, Project Art Works.

‘1385 arts organisations are benefitting from a share of £257 million as part of a vital financial boost from the Government’s £1.57 billion Culture Recovery Fund.

The allocation is the biggest tranche of funding distributed to date from the Culture Recovery Fund, bringing the total amount of grant funding awarded so far to more than £360 million.

The funding will help save 1,385 theatres, galleries, performance groups, arts organisations and cultural venues that are facing the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic, ensuring they have a sustainable future.

This funding will help allow performances to restart, venues to plan for reopening and to help protect jobs and create opportunities for freelancers.’ Arts Council.
