In 2016 Project Art Works received a small grant from the Hastings & Rother Reducing Health Inequalities Fund. The grant funded a six-month pilot study that assessed support for people with complex needs, their families and support workers. In particular, the study evaluated current independent provisions that are available locally.
The study was completed between October 2016 and March 2017 and engaged with over a hundred people and five stakeholder organisations. Evaluator Susan Potter consulted with individuals, families and professionals via mixed methods – such as focus group meetings, online surveys and interviews.
Following analysis of the online survey results, focus group and interview data, a number of deliverable recommendations were suggested to assist Hastings & Rother CCG, Project Art Works and other stakeholder organisations in developing meaningful, personalised provision for young people/adults with complex needs.
