CLUB BUILD centres and celebrates people who display behaviours of distress, and who may have been failed by systems of support.
Facilitated by Project Art Works and drawing on its 20+ years’ experience working alongside services, commissioners and families, the programme seeks to fix environments, not people, and to create a space for individuals to reposition themselves, enabling them to transform expectations.
Members of CLUB BUILD have access to bespoke studio space at Project Art Works. Here, they can work alongside facilitators trained in reflective practice, Positive Behaviour Support and Total Communication, who help to create environments that enable people to work on their own terms and build on their unique strengths and interests. In parallel, we work with circles of support: parents, carers and health and social care professionals can access training, peer support and guidance to enable personalised planning.
Options to include in your bespoke programme might include:
1:1 or 2:1 studio time.
1:1 or 2:1 community access.
Visual planning for teams.
Training in Positive Behaviour Support, Total Communication, Reflective Practice.
Legal support.
Creative workshops for family/carers.
Peer support on running single-person services.
Opportunities to show work in public settings.
