Charlie Stephens has been selected to be part of a new project, Syncing Space, coordinated by Sync Leadership.

“Sync wanted to trial an international arts residency that provided leadership and coaching and explored how this relates to arts practice. Charlie is perfect for this, as she has natural leadership flair and also holds different roles within Project Art Works: studio artist and board member.

As part of the programme, Charlie has been exploring her styles (situational and collaborative) and her motivations for doing what she does. She has chosen a really powerful ‘lightning’ leadership metaphor—lightning that forks but also sparks with joy.”

Sync Shorts Malaysia/UK is taking place from January – April 2025 with a showcase opening live in Kuala Lumpur and online at the start of World Autism month. Sync is working alongside Nakseni in Malaysia.

The 6 week residency will conclude with an online hybrid showcasing and online exhibition launch in Kuala Lumpa, Malaysia, on Friday 4 April which Charlie and Thompson Hall, an artist from Action Space, will join remotely.

You can join the event live from 10.00 (UK time) at https://www.youtube.com/live/RllVsbsAWE4.
