As part of the town-wide audio arts festival XMTR, Project Art Works will be hosting the installation Under the Hood by Sarah Washington at our Claremont gallery.
The work will be installed in the gallery and open to the public on Saturday 26 September from 11:00–16:00.
Under the Hood – Clingradio turns salon hairdryers into listening devices, with a built-in sound system and repurposed timer dial as the volume control.
They each play different 18-hour compilations of the 6-hour live weekly radio show Clingradio, produced by Sarah Washington for the first year of Resonance FM, from 2002–03.
At XMTR, you can sit Under the Hood and muse in your very own dissolution of time and place.
As well as the installation, you can also see the latest exhibition of works by Project Art Works artists in Parallel Lives.
