The Peer Support Network is pilot initiative developed in direct response to a need articulated by the families that we work with.

The Network provides support for families who already manage, or are considering setting up provisions through personalized budgets or Personal Health Budgets or Direct Payments.

Through talks, workshops, and open discussions between families, providers, and experienced support workers the forum will be an opportunity for sharing knowledge about personalised provisions and identifying information gaps. These gaps will be addressed through workshops or future forums and may include areas such as how to recruit, train, manage and retain skilled support workers. Families are encouraged to share experiences, both positive and negative, and to work together to explore how to develop and run a successful provision for the people they care for.

The pilot was launched in April 2015.
