Two of Project Art Works Artist/ Makers have been selected by the judging panel for the Brewers Towner International during this years open call.
Lucy is a prolific multidisciplinary artist whose imagination has brought an incredible range of characters to life. One of the many characters created by Lucy will offer performances at the Towner within the exhibition.

Amy Fenton‘s work has also been selected for the exhibition from her studio practice outside of Project Art Works where she collaborates with local artist Benjamin Phillips.

“Amy and I have been collaborating since the Summer of 2021. Our sessions are relaxed. Amy doesn’t hold back or mask how she feels and through her being genuine I find it allows me to be honest with our work too. The way we typically create, is I draw in pen while Amy simultaneously injects colour to the work usually with coloured pencils. We often compete for the same space of page and this can be amusing and usually remains civil. Amy always surprises me with how she interacts with the imagery; choosing colours and bringing detail to areas while excluding others. Through collaboration we create work that neither of us could do alone and that is such a special thing.” Benjamin Phillips, September 2022
The Brewers Towner International is open from the 15 October 2022 to 22 January 2023 at Towner Eastboune.
