Neville Jermyn, an artist at Project Art Works, has been shortlisted for the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize. One of 94 artists shortlisted, Neville’s work will be part of an exhibition open to the public at Trinity Buoy Wharf from the 29 September – 16 October.

Neville’s Sperm Whale was created during a residency at Hastings Contemporary in 2021 as we emerged from lockdown. It was later shown as part of our Turner Prize exhibition at Herbert Museum & Art Gallery.

Film: Project Art Works artists take part in a residency at Hastings Contemporary in 2021. 

Neville Jermyn (b.1971 London, UK) developed his artistic practice under the mentorship of practitioners at Project Art Works, an organisation based in Hastings that collaborates with and supports neurodiverse artists. He joined the collective in 2004 as part of a collaborative programme run with Brighton University and further developed his individual practice as a member of the Mentoring Studios at Project Art Works from 2009. Selected groups exhibitions include: Turner Prize Exhibition, Herbert Art Gallery, Coventry (2021); Ignition, Hastings Contemporary, Hastings (2021); Sussex Open, Towner Gallery, Eastbourne (2018). Recent awards include: Short- listed for Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize 2019. He lives and works in St Leonards-on-Sea, UK. 

The winner of the prize will be announced on 28 September.
