Claire Matthews works with a range of materials, light, texture and sound. Her painting is distinguished by energetic marks created with a variety of tools. Relationships are key to Claire’s work through which she creates a discourse of sound, light, reflection and mark-making, enabling autonomy and self-expression, which is both valued and heard. Process is highly important to Claire and her multi-sensory approach is reflected in the range of her work, which includes paintings, sculpture, and printmaking.
