Christopher Tite says, painting makes him ‘happy’. He loves to investigate materials and has a sensory approach to his artwork. He will often touch and smell the materials to discover their qualities before using them. Christopher uses contrasting and impactful colours in his artwork; he applies striking marks to begin a layering process and mixes the colours on the canvas. More recently, Christopher has begun working on large canvasses, which has enabled him to scale-up his dynamic mark-making to create vibrant multi-layered paintings. Christopher has developed his observational drawing through visits to galleries and exhibitions.
