Sarah T works seated, using the canvas as a base to sit on, or on her lap, tapping at the surface in staccato repeated movements with paint pens. Sarah has a fascination with sound and marks that involves focused and close range observation. She navigates the studio spaces with determination, accepting and rejecting materials at her own pace. She freely moves investigating edges, corners and surfaces, exploring the textural and sensory quality. Her work is highly colourful, building up layers and marks, plotting her movements in an joyful abstract image that develops over time.
