Art Breaks offer an exciting opportunity for children and young people with complex needs and their families (including siblings and carers) to take part in creative activities. This Easter we will be delivering workshops at Chailey Heritage School near Lewes.

In July 2016, Project Art Works was awarded a small grant from the Hastings and Rother Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) to deliver a pilot study. As part of this study we have a created a short online survey to help us to investigate what kinds of support are already available and/or whether new models of support might be needed to ensure high quality, sustainable and successful personalised provision.

The first Connecting Families Workshop was held at the Project Art Works’ arches on Thursday 24th November. We were pleased to welcome a numbers of families, social care professionals and artists to the session.

Project Art Works is seeking a skilled evaluator/researcher to undertake a period of focussed research with support workers and families running personalised provisions in order to establish their needs for support. The role requires an understanding of current policy on community based and independent living for people who have complex needs and behaviours that challenge.
