All Done Up is edited from sound and film recordings made over the past two years on Hastings Pier in collaboration with people who have highly sensitive ways of engaging with their surroundings and people that support them, as they investigate Hastings Pier.
Part one involves Paul, India, Sam and Louise negotiating the precarious ‘spine road’, a structure built in the early stages of the development of the pier to allow access for construction workers.
Part two sees the protagonists return two years later to a finished pier revealing the often unconventional and intimate interactions between the group as they negotiate their investigation and celebrate this free and open space over the sea.
Project Art Works was commissioned by Hastings Pier Charity to produce this work.
The film runs 10.00am – 10.00pm, in hut 7 on Hastings Pier, until the 19th May 2016.
